The site of Operation Woodsman is located on private property that has been developed to support events of this type. Other Historical Reenactment groups use the site quite regularly.
There will be a Allied Re-enactment camp where a camp impression of an Allied bivouac will be established. There will also be an AXIS camp located in a separate part of the property.
Within these two areas all aspects of the camps will strive to be authentic to the period and material culture available to Wartime Belgium just post the Allied invasion. No one is permitted in the "period" camps in modern clothes, and the camps must be established and set up while in your impression. Setting up the camp is part of the event. Each camp will have a camp coordinator to ensure that the camp is set up in a organized and rational fashion and can serve as an effective base of operations for the tactical aspects of the event.
In the "period camps" everything seen must comply with the "1940s" tech guideline. If there are items that are not 1940's tech they must be kept out of sight, covered or inside closed shelters. The goal is that at any time a photo may be taken and nothing out of place would be seen.
Between the two will be a "modern camp" where thermarests, nylon and coleman stoves and coolers will rule.
The property has a camp kitchen area where group cooking may be done, and heated showers on site as well as a swimming pond.
well appointed outhouses are also in place.
Alcohol is permitted on site, but no one may enter the battlefield under the influence.
