The following information is taken from one of the annual Lavaré Parish News books and will give you a good idea and understanding of the Lavaré community which has a very strong sense of social cohesion. Many community events are held throughout the year and here is a general cross-section.

Bastille Day ceremonies 14th July 1989 and the founders of the Old Catton Twinning Association are there in the crowd somewhere. The Lavarians really know how to celebrate and it looks as though everyone in the village turned out!

You can also see the Lavaré lake in the background which forms an important focus of Lavaré life.

There is a vibrant roller skating club for children age 6 and upwards and adults.They compete at departmental and regional level. (Writing is due to production error in Parish book.)
