Dancesport UK

is the best site for collating most of the things available in the UK (except Ray Rose shoes).

They are however, not the cheapest source to buy things.

You should note that all their prices are excluding VAT -- so add another 20% onto the price you see on the website!

Shoes

Dancesport UK offer an excellent guide to buying your first dance shoes and also a handy brand comparison chart. They've also compiled a comparison of shoe fittings between various brands!

If you're searching for the cheapest place to buy shoes, make good use of your EADA and IVDC (student uni circuit) discounts:

• Supadance
• is the oldest brand of dance shoes and make some of the most comfortable shoes. EADA members get 10% discount.
• OCDC and OUDC members get a 15% discount. Contact me for more info.
• DSI
  • a London-based brand of shoes, often more comfortable (lots of padding on the soles!) but not as long-lasting as other brands. They offer a 10% discount for EADA members and also a discount for IVDA members.

If you'd like to try on lots of shoes before you buy, there are shops that offer a mix of various brands. It's best to drop them an email / call before you visit to make sure they have your style / size in stock:

  • have a shop in Herne Hill, London. They offer a 10% discount for orders made online.
• Dance-Shop.com
  • is based in Wimbledon and stocks Supadance, Freed, Ray Rose and Aida (excellent Russian hand-made latin shoes)
• City Limits
  • have a shop in Sheffield and also offer online orders. They are one of the official stockists of Supadance shoes and offer Supadance shoes made to your custom specifications (without the £10 surcharge Supadance themselves charge!)
