          Program Description

The Newbury Park High School Orchestra program has become an integral part of the NPHS community since its rebirth in 2013 under the direction of Mrs Tina Huang. The three orchestra ensembles earn Superior ratings at the Southern California Band and Orchestra Festival annually. They have earned first place at the Heritage Festivals in San Diego and Anaheim, and have also received invitations to perform at the Segerstrom Concert Hall, Indiana Palladium Hall and the Chicago Symphony Hall. Individual students have also been accepted into All-State Orchestra, All-Southern Orchestra, CODA Honor Orchestra and have performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Royal Concert Hall and Sydney Opera House.
