If one diligently forged all the separate links in a chain and then carefully laid them out touching one another, they would still have no virtue … because, as Aristotle told us, “something different” must of necessity arise from all these specific things because they are so. And the same thing is true about schools and education.

IF a school is, of necessity, a collection of people, needs and resources brought together to pursue education
AND IF education is a process of acquiring knowledge, developing reasoning and preparing intellectually for life

THEN education, of necessity, requires a collection of schools in order to reach from birth to death.

But it is not enough for these schools to be merely collected … they must be connected … to form a single learning chain that links together knowledge, reasoning and life … nothing less will do.
