There is a great deal of information on the AKA web site. It is worth your time to investigate.

Australian Kitefliers Society

The Australian Kiteflyers Society was formed by kite flyers in 1978 to foster and encourage the timeless art of kite flying. The AKS aims to promote  SAFE kite flying and share the skills of its members through workshops and public demonstrations. KONE - Based to our south, this organization covers all of the New England area. Check out their website and Facebook pages. If you like what you see you can become a club member for $10 per year which will get you some benefits that are detailed on the "join us" page of the club's website. Ralph's "un-official" KONE Facebook page is at https://www.facebook.com/groups/2371494061/.

The group Nekite on Google Groups is a communication tool being used now by KONE. The Yahoo thing has gone away. People are being encouraged to utilize this mode of communication. This requires a google account (which is free). Once within groups, to find the conversation, search for nekite. The associated email address is: nekite@googlegroups.com

Kite history and education, with accessibility to the international history, aviation, culture, art, and recreation of kiting.

The website banner states "Home of the WA State International Kite Festival." They are located out on the Left Coast. Their Mission Statement: The World Kite Museum & Hall of Fame is dedicated to the thrill, art, science, sport, and history of kites worldwide. The museum’s exhibits and educational events introduce the kite as a multicultural art, in celebrations, modern day design, pulling power and application to energy production.
