Schools Selected for Launch Grants

In March 2016, working with our partners at the Oakland Public Education Fund and Oakland Unified School District, we announced our $2,100,000 investment in six Oakland public schools over two years through the Next Generation Learning Challenge in Oakland grant program. The selected schools are:

• ASCEND
• Lodestar
• Redwood Heights
• Roosevelt MS
• Urban Montessori
• Urban Promise Academy

This announcement is a major milestone for the NGLC in Oakland program as we seek to engage school (re)design teams of leaders, teachers, parents, students, and community stakeholders to create 3,000-5,000 high quality, innovative, personalized, student-centered seats by 2020.
