RobotKit

The Alpha Centre Robot Kit set is designed as a training robot to help students learn the various aspects of robots. Students can also start developing their software on this robot platfiorm while they are designing and constructing their own robot hardware.

Features:

The robot has basic built-in sensors that are typically used in simple robots.

    1. 5 IR sensors that are typically used to sense walls or objects a few cm away.
    2. 2 IR sensors that are used to track reflective tape on the floor
    3. 2 ADC inputs for interfacing to SHARP distance sensors or any other analog output sensors.

In terms of actuators, there are

    1. 2 drive motors for the 2 wheels
    2. 2 RC servo motor connectors for testing servo motors.

Other interfaces

    1. UART (both TTL and RS232 level)
    2. i2c
    3. 2 darlington output drive
    4. dot matrix display
    5. buzzer

There are various test points available so that it is easy to monitor the more interesting signals.
