Greetings fungus friends!
The weekend of September 6 – 8 the New River Valley Mushroom Club will be co-hosting a big foray event with the Mycological Association of Washington (MAW). Our home base will be at the Mountain Lake Biological Station – UVA (MLBS) in Giles County, Virginia, just down the road from the famous Mountain Lake Lodge. Guest Mycologist--Patrick Leacock.
Below please find instructions for registration for the Second Annual Joint Appalachian Foray. Please note that the deadline for the $30.00 registration fee is now Aug 12th and after that the fee goes to $45.00 and you can't stay at MLBS. We hope to see you there!
To register:
1. Download the attached file to your computer, save it. Open with Word or Open Office. We will do a revised registration PDF that is typewriter enabled to replace the one you got in early July, ASAP.
2. Email (or mail) the completed registration form to NAMATrustee@MAWDC.org and indicate how you are paying your fees (included or by PayPal)
3. Pay your registration fees by either mailing a check to MAW or online, by the priority deadline of August 12.
We would prefer you pay by check made payable to “MAW” and sent to:

(this avoids a avoid processing fee that we incur for online payments.)
You can also pay your registration and lodging via PayPal (using any credit card – no PayPal account required) at http://mawdc.org/paypal.html. Go to the bottom of that web page and click on the “donate” button and enter the appropriate amount you need to pay based on your registration form as completed. Be aware that your payment is not a charitable donation and is not deductible.
Note that you should pay a lodging fee only if you are intending to stay at the Mountain Lake Biological Station – otherwise just pay the registration fee.
