Q: It's after September 1st, is it too late to join for the year?

It's never too late to join and participate in New Friends events. New members are always welcome, and depending on the time of year, the membership fee will be pro-rated. Existing members will incur a small late fee if rejoining after September 1st.

Q: I don't see my hobby or interest listed on the website? Does that mean I can't join New Friends of York County?

New groups and hobbies are most welcome. The groups change over the years as membership interests evolve. If your hobby or interest is not currently listed, it could be that an activity chair may be needed - and that could be you if you are interested.

Q: I'm not sure if I want to join the group just yet. Can I attend a meeting or an activity?

Absolutely! Come get to know us. Prospective members should start by attending a monthly meeting to get an idea of what we are about and meet a few ladies. Then prospective members may attend up to two more activities within 60 days before being required to pay membership dues.

Q: Is this group just for women?

For the most part. There are some of the special interest groups--WINOs and Dinner Club--that are designed for our members and their spouses/partners/friends.
