Our Membership Opportunities

The purpose of NEOPA is to provide professional development and support to educational office professionals through Networking, Leadership, Mentoring, Recognition and Fellowship.

As a member of NEOPA, you will be provided professional growth opportunities to recognize office professionals as members of the educational team and to elevate the standards of office professionals in education. You will also be provided the opportunity to continue your professional growth through the National Professional Standards Program (PSP) and promote participation in the National Association of Educational Office Professionals (NAEOP).

Membership in NEOPA is open to educational office personnel working in institutions of learning and the profession in the State of Nebraska. There are four classifications of membership: Active, Retired, Associate, and Honorary.

Types of Membership

Active

Members are current with the payment of dues, entitled to make motions and vote on all matters coming before NEOPA, and may serve on committees and hold office.

Retired

Retired membership is available for members who have retired as an educational office professional but wish to maintain an affiliation with NEOPA. Retired members have all the rights and privileges of Active members except that of holding office.

Associate

Associate membership is open to all persons interested in advancing the purposes of NEOPA, but may not be engaged in educational office work. An Associate member may serve on committees and have all the rights and privileges of Active members except those of making motions, voting, and holding office.

Honorary

Honorary membership is bestowed upon a person in recognition of outstanding service to NEOPA. The Executive Board recommends candidates for Honorary membership. Honorary members are exempt from paying dues and have all the rights and privileges of Active members except those of making motions, voting, and holding office.
