Miscellaneous Stuff 03-06-09

Today was brought to you by the letter "R" and the number "4":

Ryan loves to write and color and he especially loves to write "R's" and "4's". I think he became obsessed with "R's" once we told him Ryan starts with "R". And I think the 4 came from Adam who is always excited when he sees the number of how old he is.

Handy Helpers:

Adam and Ryan LOVE to help mommy. They both LOVE washing the dishes. Ryan loves to dust. Adam loves to mop. Ryan also loves to help mommy cook dinner (by taste testing it). And they both love to make their own pb & jelly/ honey sandwiches. Can it get any better than this?

Can they build it?

There is construction at the end of the street that leads to our house and boy is it exciting! They tore down a wooded area and trailer park to build some houses and this has given us hours of entertainment. While Adam is at preschool Ryan and I go down the street and watch all the trucks. They'll honk their horns and wave thier claws at us and the whole time Ryan is exclaiming "Wow!", "Ooooh!", and asking about Bob. Some of the guys who drop by to do stuff at the worksite will stop and talk to us (I am a very well informed) and Ryan has been voted honorary site manager. Even some of the neighbors will come out and comment on the construction with Ryan. For right now excuse us, Ryan has some very important work to attend to- we've got a street to put in.

Lessons Learned 03-08-09

So this is the drawing from Adam's primary class. I was talking to his teacher and he told me to ask Adam what his picture was. Adam said the lesson was on not being mean to each other and that his picture was two brothers with one brother throwing up in the other's face. Nice! His teacher was laughing and said his was the best drawing. I was laughing so hard. Well, at least he knows that is something mean and not to do it to your brother!

Bike Buddies 03-25-09

We bought Ryan a tricycle that he can pedal (with a handle so we can help push him) since we have been having so much fun riding bikes almost every day. Neal brought it home from work and put it together. Ryan couldn't figure out how to pedal, so big brother Adam got on to show him how and Ryan hopped on too. Might as well have brother do all the work and still have just as much fun!
