After comparing a load of various Seabiscuits, I found the one above and the one below to be from the period of the #3085 (around 1979-1980, just before the B-stamp), and they might possibly even be one.
However, only the one below is already covered in warts, which likely showed up around this period, so were it the case, that would make the one without warts an earlier 3085.

The Seabiscuit below is sure to come from the cardboard Stable Set, since I took him out of the box personally
Covered in warts too, so those definitely appeared either before or during 1979/1980

This specimen comes from a white card numbered 5600, indicating it's from 1989, which was the first year of the 5600/1989-1994 series, but also the last year of the white card, before Breyer switched to yellow ones.
