2nd Prototype (2010)

Like most of the product in the market, we will develop a prototype robot in order to test its functionality. This PICobot prototype was develop by staff and student in school. This prototype is using Microchip's PIC18F4550 microcontroller breakout board, connected to 4 infrared sensor, 2 motors + wheels and a 16 by 2 monochrome LCD.

We uses wire with small socket to connect each of the devices, this is convenient when we want to make modification on the fly. Initially, the wires was very messy but after we confirm the connection, we tie them up and now it look neat.

As a result, we are able to program the robot to be a simple and slow line-follower. We confirm the final design and start the actual PICobot fabrication.
