Classic Micromouse

I began my journey in micromouse development as a student at ITE College West's Dover campus in 2001. At that time, I was fortunate to have a micromouse obtained from Alpha Innovation Private Limited, a team originally from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. These micromice were equipped with stepper motors and either top-down or side-looking sensors. Initially, our project focused primarily on software development with minor hardware modifications. The achievements of our school in various local contests served as great motivation for us to explore this field further.

Over time, we delved deeper into the development process and decided to create our own micromouse. In 2006, I successfully built my first DC-motor micromouse, which I named "Excel-1." Since then, I have continued to refine and enhance my micromouse designs, continuing up until the present day.

I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to my colleagues, friends, and family members who have provided unwavering support throughout my journey. Their encouragement and belief in me have been instrumental in my success. Above all, I want to dedicate all my achievements and victories to my wonderful wife, Wen Dee, whose constant support has inspired me.
