This is my first design and development of a New (half-size) Micromouse, which took place in 2009. At the time, the concept of the New (half-size) Micromouse had only been introduced in 2017, so limited references were available for robot design. compared to the Classic Micromouse, the area available to accommodate all the mechanical parts and electronic components was reduced to a quarter of its original size.

Due to this significant reduction in available space, I had to strategically place all the necessary components on both the top and bottom of the printed circuit board (PCB). However, this arrangement increased the overall center of gravity of the robot.

To accommodate the tight space, I custom-made motor mounting brackets using delrin material. Additionally, the spur gears and pinion were modified to fit into the limited space available.
