5. Balance.

Balance is an important skill for any athlete.

It helps prevent humans and animals from falling over when walking or standing still.

Balance : Balance is the ability of a person to control human body or to maintain equilibrium under static and dynamic conditions e.g. hand stand, skating, skiing, catching a fly in baseball, etc.

As you can see, our little karate expert is in a static condition (he is not moving), but the girl is in a dynamic condition (she is moving).

 We always must take care when we are practicing any sport. And it is very important that when you are making any exercise to improve your balance:

    - Do not be alone. Practice when your teacher or your parents are around.

    - Never take risks.

    - Think! Is that dangerous? Do not do it!

    - If you are going to ride your bike or your skate, always wear protection for your head, hands, elbows and knees.
