To be simply defined, multimedia is the integration of multiple forms of media. Multimedia, as the name implies, refers to content that uses more than one medium. This includes text, graphics, audio, video, etc. For example, a presentation involving audio and video clips would be considered a "multimedia presentation." Educational software that involves animations, sound, and text is called "multimedia software. In our world, quickly improving technology has allowed the use of multimedia to occur virtually everywhere.
There currently exist many types of media (some of which have already been mentioned) and some new types that are even developing in this current moment. Using any in a presentation, as long as more than one type is used, makes the presentation fall into the multimedia category. This can be from electronic presentations, like a Google Slides, to real life presentations. Both electronic presentations and real-life presentations can use text, image, video, special transitions, sound, and light to produce a multimedia presentation.
