In the Spring of 2015 I took the Adult and Higher Education Capstone course, HRD 649 with Mike Brady. At this point in time I was in need of developing the York County Community College Veterinary Technology student practicum experience. In an effort to do so I surveyed program directors, students, instructors and partners in related veterinary industries both practice and educationally related. After getting strong responses I queried the Journal of the Association of Veterinary Technician Educator's editor and they expressed interest with a very short deadline. Through the support of Dr. Brady I was able to get the work done and have my article published in the inaugural edition of the Journal of the Association of Veterinary Technician Educators. In the Summer of 2015 at the Symposium for Veterinary Technician Educators I enjoyed a quick shout out for my work in their first edition!
If you click here you can see the journal and my article, What Makes Internships, Preceptorships and Practicums Work?, published within that edition.
