There is a lot of wildlife in the vicinity of the Ranch. This is both a blessing and a reason to take caution!!
There are lots of birds in the area. Up on the cliffs are peregrine falcons and golden eagles. Keep an eye out for these beautiful birds of prey! And lots of humming birds. If you hear a buzzing near you, chances are its a little hummer!
There are elk and moose in the area. I anticipate the noise will keep them away for the weekend, but keep your eye's open!
There are lots of hares, ground squirrels, and other little varmints around. Your dog might be going crazy, he probably smells a bunny.
Along with the little animals come with the bigger animals. We have seen a bobcat, and neighbors have seen lynxes in the area. Again, these guys will probably stay away because of the noise.
Last, but certainly not least, there may be a bear in the area. We have found some bear tracks and scat. There haven't been any bear encounters in the last several years, and bears hate noise, so the crowds and music will probably keep Mr. Bear far away. But as explained in the "Caution" section, please be smart and careful!
