While we are being as careful as possible, and really want everyone to have a good time, there are some things you need to look out for this weekend.
First, the ranch is a work in progress. Its not intended to be, and certainly is not in any manner, a safe disneyland for kids. There are lots of places to fall down, sticks to trip on, a creek to get wet in, mosquitoes that might bite you. Rocks for kids to bump their heads on. Lots of other potential hazards that we are not aware of. Last year one little boy stuck a stick in a bee's nest and got stung. Please be aware and do your best to take responsibility for you and your loved ones!!
Second, there may be some wild animals in the area. Not likely any of them will come anywhere near the music fest. But please be smart and careful! You may not want to bring food into your tent, or keep food with you at night. Camp in groups, and be ready to make noise if you need to.
One new local we're kine of excited about is Millwood the Moose, who seems to have adopted the Kinney Creek Valley as his home. He's young and shy, and also really big. If he's around we may all need to keep closer track of our dogs. We'll try to let you know if there's a sighting, and maybe you can tell us at the stage if you see him wandering about.
