Rudolph J. Stanek, age 69 years, of rural Kendall, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Heritage Manor in Elroy, Wisconsin.
He was born on February 3, 1943 to Rudolph H. and Mava (Mullet) Stanek in Vernon County, Wisconsin and grew to adulthood in the Mount Tabor area. Rudolph was united in marriage to Janet Novy on September 19, 1964 in Wilton, Wisconsin. They have lived in the Mount Tabor area for many years; Rudy worked at Ray-O-Vac in Wonewoc for 15 years and was a Truck Driver for construction firms for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Janet; daughters, Marylou Evans (Terry Wong) of LaFarge and Monica (Stanley) Groom of Elroy; grandchildren, Rudy Evans (Cierra Woolever), Tonya (Tad) Rebhahn, Tyler Groom and Dustin Groom; great-grandchildren, Trevor, Brett, Collin and Reed; sisters, Marcella (Lester) Williams of Sparta and Marvelene (Frank) Tunks of Camp Douglas; brother, Richard (Barb) Stanek of Kendall; brother-in-law, Wesley Novy of Hillsboro; sister-in-law, Evelyn Nemmers of Newport, Minnesota and Patricia (Kenneth) Meseberg of Hillsboro; and nieces and nephews.
Rudy was preceded in death by his Parents; in-laws, Erma and James Novy; son-in-law, Terry Evans; brother, Robert Stanek and brother-in-law, Ronald Novy.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Hillsboro, with Father Don Bauer officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery at Mount Tabor.
Friends may call at the Picha Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 3 to 6 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m.
