JOHN MULLET
Funeral services for John Mullet, 74, of R. 1, Onalaska, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Fossum Funeral Home of Bangor.
The Rev. A.E. Frederick of Sparta will officiate and burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta.
Friends may call at the Bangor Funeral Home Wednesday evening.
The body of Mr. Mullet was found in his home Sunday morning by a son-in-law, Harry Shawley, who was going to invite Mr. Mullet to attend a holiday dinner. Dr. Michael Watunya, La Crosse County coroner, said death had apparently resulted from natural causes.
Mr Mullet formerly had been a resident of Sparta.
Survivors include his wife, Zenia, R. 1 Sparta; five daughters, Mrs. Rudy (Mava) Stanek of Wilton, Mrs. Herman (Alvenia) Meyer and Mrs. Earl (Charlotte) Filter, both of Sparta, Mrs Vern (Cora) Emery of Black River Falls, and Mrs. Harry (Beverly) Shawley of Holman; one brother, William Mullet, in the state of Washington; three sisters, Mrs. Peter Fiers of California, Mrs Minnie Hedger and Mrs Quinton Maley, both in Washington; 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

JOHN JAMES MULLET
John James Mullet was born on a farm in the Town of Sparta, Monroe County, Wisconsin, on May 1, 1884. He worked the home farm with his father and mother until his marriage to Zenia May Post in Sparta on September 1, 1914. To this union six children were born.
He moved to Onalaska two years ago where he died suddenly on March 29, 1959 at the age of 74 years and 11 months. He was preceded in death by his parents, his infant daughter, Ethel and ten sisters and brothers.
He is survived by his widow, Zenia, of Onalaska and five children, namely: Mrs. Rudy Stanek (Mava) of Kendall; Mrs Vern Emery (Cora) of Black River Falls; Mrs. Herman Meyer (Alvenia) and Mrs. Earl Filter (Charlotte), both of Sparta, , and Mrs. Harry Shawley (Beverly) of Holman, He leaves also one sister, Mrs Quinton Maley (Cora) and one brother, William Mullet, both of the State of Washington, and 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and in addition to his family circle of acquaintances and many friends.
Funeral services were held at Fossum's mortuary in Bangor on Thursday, April 2, at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Dr. A.E. Frederick of Sparta officiated. Interment was in Woodlawn cemetery in Sparta
