Schedule & Registration

In an effort to reduce registration confusion we are changing the registration process.

You only need to register for each day that you plan to attend the Academy, NOT individual workshops - you will be required to sign-in at each workshop you attend.

As you know, the district is facing many budget constraints; PLEASE only register for days you will ABSOLUTELY be attending so we only order what we need.

Download the Schedule at a Glance.

The Schedule at a Glance provides you with a quick overview of which workshops are offered when and where. Refer to the full schedule of events for individual workshop descriptions.

Interested in Teaching Online?

The requirements for teaching online at MSJC can be found in the MSJC Distance Education Faculty Handbook online at: http://msjconline.com/index.php/faculty/28.

On page 4 under the Training and Support heading you will see the readiness criteria adopted by the Executive Academic Senate for faculty prior to teaching online. Attending the five Effective Practices in Online Teaching & Learning workshops meet criteria one (Complete an MSJC Introduction to Online Teaching & Learning Workshop) of the requirement.

The Introduction to Online Teaching & Learning workshop is a 3 day workshop that has been split into five segments to provide opportunities for veteran online faculty to attend just areas they need more information or refreshing on. Each of the five effective practices workshops are three hours in length and offered one time each during the three days of the academy. If you need to meet the requirement, you must attend all five sessions.
