After 6 years of working on the stage at Olympus High School I have found it necessary to pass the torch. The torch has now bee passed to the capable hands of Jackie Fredrickson.
The Olympus High School Performing Arts Center runs continuously. The state-of-the art auditorium is a perfect training ground for those interested in the arts either as performers or supporting crew. Crew prides itself in safety and professionalism. No matter what event is scheduled, they do their best to make sure the performers are seen and heard at their best. If you are thinking about joining crew, be prepared to work long hours behind the scenes making others look great.
If you can't work the long hours, consider signing up for the Stage Craft class. This class will focus primarily on building and painting scenery during class, but will also include training on the lights, sound and fly systems. Students will be asked to participate in at least one after-school event each term.
