Mathematician Project Grades

Project To Be Determined for the 2020-2021 School Year...see previous year project grades below.

Presentation: (15 points) Due: Thursday, December 6, 2018

• 4 pts – Organization - Student presents information in logical, interesting sequence that audience
• can follow easily; ideas are well organized; transitions are smooth. The Google slide show
• is used in an organized manner to support the presentation
• 4 pts – Content Knowledge - Student demonstrates full knowledge with explanation and
• elaboration; ideas are developed and focused.
• 3 pts – Timing - within a 3-4 minute time frame
• 2 pts – Eye contact
• 2 pts – Composure/Confidence/Presence

Google Slide Show: (15 points) Due by: 8am on Thursday, December 6, 2018

Turned in through Google Classroom

• 8 pts – Biographical & Mathematician Contributions Content (name, birth/death and other important dates in his/her history, where he/she is lived and attended school, books written, awards won, important mathematical contributions, etc)
• 2 pts – Correct spelling and grammar
• 1 pt – At least one quote either stated by or about the mathematician
• 1 pt – Picture/Symbol
• 3 pts – Neatness, Organization, and Creativity

10 pts-ish each - There will be a quiz for each day of presentations. (Points TBD by the number of presenters each day.)
