Video and 16-2 notes: heat transfers
conduction - transfer of thermal energy with no transfer of the matter, happens when two objects are touching
thermal conductor - transfers heat well
thermal insulator - transfers heat poorly
convection - transfer of thermal energy when particles of a gas or liquid move from one place to another
radiation - all objects constantly radiate energy in the form of visible and invisible light. Warmer objects emit more energy than cooler objects.
