Grading Policy: Your grade for this course will be based on tests and quizzes (90%), and class/ homework (10%). The grading scale is as follows:

A 100-93% A- 92-90% B+ 89-87% B 86-83% B- 82-80%

C+ 79-77% C 76-73% C- 72-70% D 69-60% F <60%

Homework/class work….20 points each

Quizzes…………………50 points each

Tests…………………….100 points each

Procedures:

Hall passes: You were assigned 2 for the semester- use them appropriately.

Eligibility: Posted every Wednesday.

Homework: Given about 2 times a week (record assignments in your planner).

Seating: Seating is decided by Mr. Aubin and posted on the COMM board.

Raising Hand: I want hands raised for questions.

Binder: Bring it every class- it’s an important organizational resource.

Materials: Text, binder, pen (preferred)/ pencil (dictionary is encouraged).

Late work: Accepted up to 1 week late with the following requirements:

a. A maximum 10 point penalty

b. If you have an excused absence you have until the next day back to turn it in (make sure we discuss this).

c. If you have an unexcused absence for that day it will NOT be accepted.

d. All late work to be turned in must be discussed with Mr. Aubin prior to it being turned in.

Tutoring: M,T,F after school and any day by appointment during lunch- a good time to turn in late work or discuss matters.
