Charlie Hebdo. Terrorism nowadays
On Wednesday, 7th January three gunmen attacked the offices of French magazine "Charlie Hebdo" killing 12 people, including the editor, celebrated cartoonists and police officers. It's the worst terrorist attack in France since 1961.
Although we would have preferred not to have to write this new page in our project, we strongly believe that it has to be here for obvious reasons. How can we talk about progress in societies and ignore what happened in Paris? How can societies advance when horrible things like this happen? How can we say that we live in an advanced society when there's no freedom of speech?
