**Blanford/Sharpe, Second Yarkand Mission

Scientific results of the Second Yarkand Mission; based upon the collections and notes of the late Ferdinand Stoliczka, Ph.D.

Published by order of the government of India.  Taylor and Francis London, (folio).  The twenty-four plates which comprise the section Aves (written by Richard Bowdler Sharpe) are from Part V of the complete report of this expedition to Central Asia, which was issued in fourteen fascicles from 1878--1891.  Most of these plates were by Keulemans.  In addition, he had also submitted a number of prints for the section Mammals (written in 1879 by William Thomas Blanford), and four of these are shown here.
