Student Reflection & Course Assignment
Use of knowledge and the ability to fit one experience into the western paradigms reaches its highest expression in the arts. It was my intention to improve my craft of poetry by completing Baker University MLA. These poems were all written in my last months in the program. These poems are examples of my full emersion in the themes that I studied for the past two years, this ranged from Beauty, to mythology, Postmodernism and a dash of creativity. This collection of poems was created from the concepts that haunted me class after class.
The outcomes from this artifact:
Organization skills
Enriched written communication skills
Course Assignment:
"Final Project. Here is where you need to put your thinking cap on and get your creative juices flowing. You will have a lot of freedom in this project. You may write something, you may create something, you may start a new hobby... the possibilities are endless. You just need to make sure that it is graduate level final project worthy. You will blog about your progress and submit a final reflection paper. I am excited about this project. This is your place to shine – and you should! Because you have control over the content of the project you have every opportunity to choose an idea that “jazzes” you. I shouldn’t wonder on presentation night (or afterwards as I read your additional documentation) if you planned and spent sufficient time engaging in creating and presenting your final project. Show me what you’ve got! (100 points)"
