Student Reflection & Course Assignment
When we explore a subject through Liberal arts sometimes we experience the Janus affect and are able to learn about the darker side of our explorations of a topic. This artifact shows much about the dark side of creativity. The use of technology to do quasi criminal things is very similar to an ethical problem as put forward by Plato in the Republic which is focused in the Ring of Gyges thought experiment a ring that grants invisibility and as a result leads to lawlessness. Technology is our cultures Ring of Gyges. The technologies described in this youtube Video explores the non ethical usages of computer technology. It shows the problems that technological enhancement will have on human capabilities if we do not have an ethical framework.

Course Assignment description:
" Ahas The aha is your opportunity to process every activity we complete; to ponder its relevance and its impact on society in general and your life in particular. Without a carefully thought-through aha, this course might just be a series of activities, or a workshop. While one goal of the course is to enable you to experience these new technologies first hand, an equal goal is that you think about the impact of said technologies in your world. A rubric is available for the aha (28 points). "
