With painting complete, assembly of the mill got underway. The parts were moved back out to the shop to get started. First, the base was bolted back onto the column. The uncoated bolt heads were then shot with some smoke gray spray paint before the base was bolted down onto the stand. The knee was reassembled with the miter gears and lead screw and fit back onto the mill. Then, the saddle and table were added along with all the cranks. The overarm still needs to be derusted, and I have only started to mock up the new belt drive system, which will use a motor and some parts robbed from a cheapo drill press to replace the homebrew motor/countershaft setup which looked pretty crude when I first got the mill.
The mill reassembled on the stand and mostly adjusted and ready to go, except for the lack of a motor.
The serial tag installed on the LH side. I reattached it with some stainless steel screws to replace the original drive-in screws.
The distributor tag reinstalled on the RH side. There are only 3 screws because the tap broke off in the last hole!
