Tip 2: Accessing your account and signing into OneSearch

Accessing your SJSU OneSearch account could be helpful when you searching through the vast amount of information within the library catalog.

You get to:

  1. Request items that are not available through the SJSU library.
  2. Access certain articles/materials that are only available for students.
  3. Add items to a list for later use.
  • You would access your account information by going to the SJSU libraries main site at https://library.sjsu.edu/ and click the My Accounts link which should be near the top right of your page.
  • You should be seeing multiple options of signing in such as OneSearch, Interlibrary Loan, SJPL Library account etc.
    • Click on the OneSearch link which should be the first option under My Accounts.
    • You should see a section that says Welcome to OneSearch! This is where you get a brief description on what OneSearch is.
    • You should locate and click on the Sign In link located at the far right top corner of the page.

      • You should choose the appropriate link to sign in (SJSU Student or SJPL Patron) and you would be asked for your username and password. Now you should be signed in with all the features at your disposal.

      • Locate and click on the My Account link at the top right corner of the page.

      • You now should be able to see information such as what materials do you have on loan, any fines you owe, any request you might have and other information.
