NCE Dual Relay

For higher current contact requirements, the SPDT relay can be used to control a 2nd larger relay. If the 2nd relay will have DC power to power the coil, make sure you install a reverse polarity diode in parallel with the coil. This will protect the NCE relays from arcing contact issues and increase both relays reliability.

The two relay coils can be wired in parallel to form a single DPDT relay suitable for reverse polarity control requirements. However, the coils will draw 24mA from the accessory decoder. This is about the same as two Tortiose motor wired in parallel.

This board consist of a two independent relays who's coils are intended to be controlled by their own accessory decoder output. This allows each relay to be independently DCC addressable and hence controllable. The relay board will work with ANY MANUFACTURES DCC accessory decoder designed to drive a Tortoise turnout motor.NCE's Tortoise accessory decoder controller are the NCE Switch-8 and the Switch-It.NCE DUAL RELAY PART NUMBER: 524-236
