Remove two screws underneath the front flip up. Then slide cover back and up.
Big round cylinder is a check valve. Mine got stuck closed. I just squeezed the middle and it opened.

Andrew gives a very detailed description of how to remove the globe. Let me know if his page is down, I snapped a copy of it.
I used a credit card instead of a feeler gage. I also found the front left tab to be more challenging to do first. As soon as I moved to the right tab, things went much smoother.
My globe was getting noisy and a couple of lines of display were not working. Once I got the globe off, it was an easy fix. I removed the rotor and inner cover and reseated the inner cover. The inner cover must have lifted out of position and been interfering with the rotor.
