Learning the cello is a journey of endless discovery, expansion of ones imagination, and the opportunity to develop a unique relationship to problem solving and focused work. It is my goal to motivate students to become intrigued with their own learning and inspire their creativity and love for music 

I was drawn to the Suzuki method in 2012 by a mentor and teacher of mine, Maxine Neuman. Through excellent training from Pamela Devenport at School for Strings in NYC, I re-discovered the joy in learning and expanded my appreciation for the intricate processes and devoted effort of all learners— myself included. Playing the cello is a means to guide more than musical development, it provides opportunities for sharing our experience as humans and our capacity to love and enjoy the world around us. I believe in Shinichi Suzuki’s message: where love is deep, much can be accomplished.

I moved to Brussels from New York City (and Ithaca, NY) in 2025, where I taught at the United Nations International School, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, at Opus Ithaca School of Music, and in my private studio. I’m excited to be in Brussels and happy to be welcomed warmly by the Belgian Suzuki Community!

Apprendre le violoncelle est un voyage à la découverte de la musique et de soi-même. Mon objectif en tant qu’éducateur est d’aider l’élève à developper sa curiosité et sa créativité. Jouer du violoncelle est une façon ludique d’apprendre à résoudre des problèmes, à se concentrer, et à partager notre sensibilité unique.

J’ai été attirée par la méthode Suzuki en 2012 par ma mentor et professeur, Maxine Neuman. Grâce à l'excellente formation de Pamela Devenport à la School for Strings à New York, j’ai redécouvert la joie de l’apprentissage. J’y ai développé une fascination pour la multitude des processus qui se passent dans l’enseignement et approfondi mon appréciation pour les efforts des apprenants que nous sommes tous.

J’ai déménagé à Bruxelles en 2025 en provenance de Ithaca, NY et New York City, où j’ai enseigné à la United Nations International School, au Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, à l'école de musique Opus Ithaca, et en privé. Je suis ravie d’être à Bruxelles et d’avoir été accueillie si chaleureusement par la communauté Suzuki belge!
