Thorpe Park Lake Levels 2017 - 2018
The lake levels were unusually low due to the dry summer and the weirboard preventing backflow from the River Bourne.

Groundwater levels north of Norlands Lane
Water levels in Thorpe Park have been unusually low for the past few years and it could have something to do with the completion of the Coldharbour Lane landfill site.
Groundwater levels in the Green Lane fishing lake are not dropping as they should be indicating that there is a drainage problem through the gravel under the land between the fishing lake and Thorpe Park. The fishing lake is 600 metres north of Thorpe Park.
The diagram below describes how landfill cells are sealed to prevent contamination. The diagram was produced for the proposed Milton Park Gravel extraction project. ( Link - Download as PDF )
