October 2018 - ACCURACY OF FLOOD MAPS
We are waiting for confirmation regarding the accuracy of planning documents produced by the Environment Agency. They show flood maps, produced in 2014, that were published in brochures for the Viridor Landfill Site . The maps wrongly suggest that there is a drainage path through the site .
Mid-1990's land levels were used as the datum level for the site. Landfill levels at the southern end of the site were much lower in the 1990's because it hadn't been excavated for gravel. It was used for storage and administration. The landfill site was closed in 2012. Labelled slides showing the documents to be investigated
