Thorpe Park Weir flowing backwards in June 2019
Chertsey Lakes Access Road Bridge - Flooded Bourne Levels. The river level under the bridge has risen by at least 90cm. The soffit level of the bridge is 13.65mAOD.
It looks like there is a blockage under the Haul Road ( Deck level 13.72mAOD ) and Hungry Horse ( Deck level 13.42mAOD ) Bridges.
Silt levels in the 2003 survey show where silt is likely to build up if the river is not maintained. It's doubtful that anything was done to clear silt or blockages following the 2014 floods.
TWYNERSH LAKES FLOODING
10/11/2019 The weirboard is still being used - it should have been removed and water is flowing backwards over it . Thorpe Park Lakes 12.29m. Chertsey Lakes 12.34m. No flooding ( Weir check only )
03/07/2019 A smaller ( 16cm ) weirboard fitted giving a weir level of 12.30mAOD . The lakes are being monitored online using the Environment Agency's level gauges and our own datum levels in the private lake that is south of the M3 Motorway.
11/06/2019 Lakes flooding again after a few days rain . The weirboard that had recently been fitted was higher than the agreed level which is 13cm.
22/10/2018 The Twynersh and Chertsey fishing lakes are still flooding . No reaction from the Environment Agency at the moment . This has been going on for over 4 years .
The weirboard in Thorpe Park was removed on 25th October and since then , the level of the Thorpe Lakes has risen . Also , the Chertsey Lake didn't flood during the last dump from Windsor Park on 10th November.

Chertsey Bourne River Levels 24th December 2017- 2018 ( AOD )
The Chertsey and Twynersh lakes flood nearly every time the every time the Bourne level gets to about one metre above the datum level ( 14mAOD ). However, they didn't in November but it's too early to jump to any conclusions until we have more evidence.
River Bourne Levels 2017 - 2018
Chertsey Bourne Flow Rates 24th December 2018 ( Cubic Metres/ Second )
High flow rates indicate that large amounts of water are being discharged upstream.
The October dump flooded the Twynersh Lakes..
The November 2018 dump did not flood the Lakes because the weirboard in Thorpe Park had been removed.
