Membership & Fundraisers
Our organization's primary source of funding is membership by our music families. In addition, the Boosters fundraise throughout the year to support the needs of the music staff and the students that are not otherwise funded.
Our goal is to raise money for instrument repairs, purchase of new replacement instruments or other essential equipment for our performers. Our board works hand in hand with MHS music department heads to prioritize needed items each school year. Some of the things our fundraising and membership dues provide for are:
*Offsetting the overall cost per student of the the biennial Spring music trip for all Choir, Concert Band, Orchestra and Marching Band students.
*Funding to allow financially needy students to attend the biennial music trip.
*Funds to support Master Classes where professional musicians spend a day with our Band, Orchestra and Chorus students fine tuning their musicianship.
*Annual awards for seniors who intend to pursue music in college.
*Funds for the annual Choral Cabaret.
*Funds to offset the cost per family of the Marching Band Banquet every November
