Jurek's Story

Real name "Jeremi"

1923- The twins Jurek & Leon born in 1923 and lived in "Osada" Ulanska Dola - approx 14 hamlets near village of Zady and Targovica.

They were in a small group of 4 settlements.

Jureks story is given in detail in the Main Odyssey story and Normandy to Wihelshaven.

This is his sent to Siberia certificate and medal.

Jurek is part of Polish 1^st Armoured Division - Tank Regiment 51 and is sent to Caen in Normandy. Shown above examining a shell.

Story continues - Normandy to Wilhelmshaven

Some years after the war Stanislaw brought his family together again in Manchester and they all lived together in Stockton Street in Moss Side.

Once married Jurek bought his first house in Whalley Grove - Whalley range .

After Whalley Grove Jurek and family moved around the corner to Burford Drive still in Whalley Range

Ted moved to Burford Road and Leon had moved to Burford Avenue.

Before finally moving to Yew Tree Road in Fallowfield

Finally with retirement Jurek and Tadzik moved to Pimcroft Way - Alice sold her house in Sale to Leon and she also moved around the corner on the Pimcroft Estate.
