'94 into '67 Seat Install

The Seat:

The Seat is out of a 1994 F-150 LXT. I was looking for a nice 60/40 split bentch with a little cutout in the middle, but the Salvage Yard I went to didn't anything like that, so I got this one.

I paid $60 for it. Looking back I think it was to much, Oh well, Live and Learn. It does have some cool electric inflatable lumbar supports, but I don't know if they work yet.

The Install:

The '94 Seat and the '67 seat are almost the same. The tracks are the same distance apart and when finished it will sit at the same height.

The first option to install the seat is to simply unbolt your tracks off the '67 seat and the '94 seat, and swap them. This will work fine, but my '67 seat tracks where shot.

So I went with the second option. Swap over the mounting brackets. They are held on by rivets that will need to be drilled out.

Once you have the brackets off you will need to slot out the front hole. This is because the rivets are not quite spaced the some on both seats. I slotted the front hole because it best matched the stock seat placement.

Now just bolt them up with 2 bolts on each track. One in front and One in back. You can't get to the holes in the middle.

Now bolt it back into the truck.

If you are running the in-cab gas tank, then you will have one more mod to do. In order for the seat to go ALL the way back, like I need it to do to clear the T-5 shifter, you have to bend the seat latches out to clear the tank. I cut a grove about half way through them then used a big pair of channel lock pliers to bend them 90 degrees.

That's about it! Enjoy the ride!
