NCC Separation Distance Maps
These maps presented at the renewable energy workshop are based upon buffers from address data points.
These are primarily based upon the dwelling (the main building).
This is the basis upon which the separation distance approach is proposed.
However, in assessing the impact of turbines upon residential properties, the impact from the dwelling and the amenity space would be considered in criteria a of Policy 37.
Depending upon the orientation and siting of dwellings and turbines, the impact may be considered to be more significant from the garden than from the house.
