The people at Wansbeck Valley Food Bank believe that in our community no one should go hungry.
However, we live in a world where almost overnight life and wellbeing can so easily be disrupted and without realising many of us tread this fine line. Every day we hear of shops, pubs or restaurants and other businesses closing down which means people losing their jobs. The foodbank is totally committed to relieving food poverty.
Please help if you can. Urgently needed items currently are:
Breakfast cereals, Jam and Marmalade (Not home made), Tinned rice pudding, UHT milk, Boxes of cup-a-soup, Tinned soup, Packets of potato (Smash or equivalent), Hot dogs/meatballs, Childrens toothbrushes, Nappies – sizes 6 & 7.
Collection points are in the Village Hall entrance and in the bar area of the Shoulder of Mutton.
Many thanks, Sue Etchells
