Review Key Concepts
1. A consumer can find information about a product from Web sites, and other consumers, or magazines.
2. When resolving a consumer problem, you should check your warranty, write to the manufacturer, and then take further action as needed.
3. The first step in creating a budget is to list your expenses in order of importance, deciding which are needs and which are wants.
4. Use a deposit slip to deposit cash or checks into your savings account. To take out money, complete a withdrawal slip or use an ATM.
5. In addition to the money you owe, you pay the lender interest, unless you pay the total bill each month.

6. State the problem clearly as well as a solution you think is fair.
7. Point out things in the advertisements that are of interest to teens.

Review Key Concepts
1. Many people become frustrated with the rapid changes in technology because it can be difficult to quickly learn new technology to keep up with the changes, and the expense can be great.
2. Avoid working at the computer or playing video games for hours at a time. Take breaks often to walk around or stretch. When sitting at the computer, sit up straight, with your feet fl at on the floor. When you are not using electronics, be active.
Practice Academic Skills
3. Describe the device, its drawbacks, and its benefits. Look for alternatives that are less costly or for ways to get the most use out of the device.
4. Describe advice they chose and explain their reasons for choosing that advice. For example, a teen who spends many hours playing video games may try to limit the time he or she plays the games or maybe try to take breaks often to stretch and walk around.
