On returning to work following my maternity leave Clare came highly recommended to me as a trusted pair of hands to care for an educate my daughter of 9 months old. Clare gave regular opportunities for me to call and see her on action and supported me with the induction process, advising me on how to access the free 15 hours and how to navigate my way around the ‘Baby Days’ app. The app is useful tool that provides a ‘one stop shop’ for all communication requirements including policies, details about meals/sleep and the administration of medication along with a record of my daughters achievements against the Development Matters objectives. I have also been encouraged by Clare to contribute learning and milestones that I observe at home via the app which builds up a clear picture of my child’s development.

After supporting myself and my daughter with transition opportunities Ada started in June 2024 and settled instantly. Clare is a warm and nurturing practitioner who really knows my daughters personality, likes dislike, strengths and abilities. My daughter loves to go to Little Acorns and is excited by the purposeful and engaging Learning environment she so passionately presents along with the enhancements daily. It is clear that Clare is committed to creating an outstanding learning environment as she updates it regularly to maintain its appeal to the children in her care. Clare engages the children throughout the day with a range of adult led and child initiated learning that is interesting, age appropriate and engaging for all. She always carefully tailors the activities to suit the needs of all children including the children with special educational needs. I have been particularly wowed by the enrichment opportunities that Clare provides to bring learning to life including taking my daughter on trips out Pumpkin Picking and to the library. We have also been invited on a number of occasions to a sensory play area with the other children that attend and their families demonstrating how Clare takes the time to get to know us as a family and encourages a positive working relationship. When I collect my daughter she is always clean, well fed with home cooked meals, engaged and happy. Clare will always take the time to hand over verbally on a an relevant information such as observations of new learning or to inform me of resources that have been of interest for my little girl. I couldn’t ask for anything more and hope that she is recognised for the outstanding commitment and cat that she provides every day. Thank you Clare.
