About Me

Welcome to Little Acorns

Hi, my name is Clare, and I am a registered Childminder through Ofsted and Pacey. I live with my husband, Alex, and we both hold current DBS certificates to ensure a safe environment for your children.

I opened Little Acorns in 2007, and with over 30 years of experience in childcare, I am dedicated to providing a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where children can grow, learn, and flourish.

I hold a Level 3 in Early Years and Education, qualified Level 3 Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCo), Level 2 in Autism, and have recently completed the Early Years Professional Development course, keeping my knowledge and skills up-to-date to provide the best care for your child.

I have two children of my own, Daniel (30) and Rebecca (26), who have now left home, giving me a wealth of experience in both parenting and childcare.

At Little Acorns, we focus on fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence through age-appropriate activities, outdoor play, and a warm, caring atmosphere. Whether it’s your child’s first steps, first words, or first friendships, I am here to guide and support them every step of the way.
