Dear Parent,
I am delighted to introduce myself as your childminder’s Network Coordinator. The network holds National Childminding Association (NCMA) Children Come First (CCF) approval, a quality assurance scheme which promotes a very high standard of care for children and families. NCMA CCF is also endorsed by Investors in Children, the government scheme designed to help parents find good quality childcare.
Childminding Networks also offer services over and above straightforward childcare, providing support to families and the local community. For example, only childminders belonging the an NCMA CCF approved network can offer government- funded early education, which means they offer free childcare for 3 and 4 year olds.
Childminders must show they meet certain standards before they can join the network, including carrying out regular risk assessments and must take at least three days training per year to ensure their skills and knowledge is kept up to date.
You can be confident in the continuous level of high quality childcare offered by your network childminder, as once they are offered a place on the network, I will continue to monitor their practice through regular visits to their setting.
Please find enclosed the network’s aims and objectives, the NCMA Ten Quality Standards, the complaints procedure and a copy of the compliments sheet. Should you wish to discuss these or any aspect of your childminder’s practice, or would like any further information please contact me on the details below.
Yours sincerely,
