Aims & Eligibility:-
The Youth of the Year Program, run by the Lions Clubs of Australia, aims to encourage students aged 15-18 years old to take an active, constructive leadership role in their community. It seeks a high level of academic, leadership, sporting, public speaking and citizenship achievement, and to this end, winners are selected by judging panels from local club level through to national winners.

Student entries:- Youth participants should contact their local Lions Club to submit an entry Form, which MUST BE completed digitally. IF you do not have a Lions Club contact, you can enquire from the District Youth of the Year Chairperson (see below)
Judging Dates:-
Each participating Lions Club conducts club level judging sometime between September and February, with subsequent Zone, Region & District level judging conducted during February/March. The relevant dates for the 2025/26 Lions year are as follows (AWAITING new dates for 2025-26 year)

District Final to be held on 11th April 2026 at Wangi Workers Club (Hosted by Morisset Lions)
N-districts State Final ON 2 nd May at Hellenic Club, Woden, ACT
National Final at MD Convention late May 2026 in Adelaide
